Barbara Elting is a composer, vocalist, music producer, and viola player, exploring the transformative potentials of sound and music. Interested in the relationship between sound and the body, Barbara examines its ephemeral nature and how transformation can occur through sound.
Her interest in the body has led her to her pursuit of a Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She hopes to assist people with their ailments in the future while deepening her understanding of the body through this modality.
Barbara (易玉) is a disciple at Moy Yee Kung Fu, where she studies Tai Chi, Wing Chun, and other forms of Chinese martial arts.
She is also a member of the NY Bulgarian Women’s choir (Yasna Voices).
